General Information

The Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences offers two Master study programmes in English:

These study programmes are open to all students, who have passed their Bachelor degree. All foreigners have to submit a Bachelor degree diploma validated by the Czech authority (via the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports). It has to be completed up to at least the date of study registration.

Studies in any foreign language (non-Czech or non-Slovak) have to be paid according to the instructions of the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Each university decides the amount of the fees according to its own prescription. ERASMUS students do not pay any fees. Czech and Slovak students have to pay €30 per (academic) year. This fee covers also, other foreign students with permanent residence in Czech Republic, and students studying in the Czech Republic according to international agreements by means of the Centre for International Services of Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. All other foreign students have to pay study fees. Charges and bank accounts are used here.

Forestry, Water and Landscape Management

This study programme is biennial and students graduate following diploma thesis defence and State examination. Application forms for the academic year 2010-11 are accepted up to 20.07.2010. The entrance examination comprises a discussion form (in English) about Forestry and Water Management.

Tropical Forestry and Agro-forestry

This study programme has been prepared by the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences in conjunction with the Institute of Tropic and Subtropics CULS Prague. Subjects of the 1st semester are compiled according to the graduated Bachelor study programmes, either Forestry or Tropical and Sub-tropical Agriculture. The study programme is biennial and students graduate after diploma thesis defence and state examination. The entrance examination comprises a discussion form (in English) about Forestry (Forestry graduated students) or Tropical and Sub-tropical Agriculture (Tropical and Sub-tropical graduated students); biology test is prepared for the other students not being graduated from above mentioned study programmes.
